Englewood has been my cherished home, where I’ve raised my family, and watched my children establish their own lives. I take great pride in my role as a daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, friend, and even a dedicated Corgi wrangler.
I’ve resided on the same block for 16 years, forming deep connections. We’re more than just a neighborhood where children play freely from yard to yard; we’re a tight-knit community, reminiscent of the ones where we grew up.
I have learned from attending City Council meetings that Englewood citizens lack trust in the infrastructure and leadership. The storm drain system is a known issue recently gaining attention. Expanding pipes are not an option; we must build retention ponds.
The CodeNext initiative seeks to overhaul residential zoning laws, endangering our beloved community by increasing density which already exceeds other cities our size. CodeNext favors developers but terrifies citizens, whether they own or rent homes.
I advocate for the election of judges by the citizens, not city council selection of judges. We must retain impartial judges who are accountable to the people they serve.
Honesty and transparency guide my principles. I believe in the value of every voice and in collaborating for Englewood’s improvement, not personal gain. I am ready to dedicate my time and knowledge to help thoughtfully guide the City of Englewood forward.

A Brighter Future for Our City
Kim Wright Will Focus on Infrastructure
Kim believes the City of Englewood should not encourage creating more density until they fix underground infrastructure. No city, including Englewood can ignore infrastructure. They must fix the crumbling infrastructure before they place more stress on it.
From sinkholes, to drainage issues, to police and fire response, Englewood officials need to fix the problems the city is facing.
The obsession by four of the current city council members with creating a more urbanized Englewood is not serving the current residents.
It is not the responsibility of the Englewood City Council to fix the problem with housing scarcity. As a city council member, Kim will focus on the quality of life for the current residents, not the potential ones.
